Parent/Staff Relations…sharing a love for children and support for families.
Parents will have peace of mind knowing that Real Life Nursery School and Kindergarten is a second generation family owned and state licensed facility which is personally operated and supervised by Don and Mary Ann Fraser who have many years of experience and education in the field of child development. We are proud of our heritage which dates back to 1948 and are committed to working closely with parents toward the welfare of the whole family. Our staff consists of early childhood professionals who give guidance and respect to children and their families. Parents are welcome to visit the school anytime both prior to enrolling your child and during your child’s time at school.

Don Fraser, owner/director, has over 30 years of experience supervising and educating children at the Real Life Day Camp and Farm. He has been a leader in the Royal Rangers youth group for over 15 years. He is well known throughout the community for his work with young people.
Mary Ann Fraser, owner/director, has over 30 years of experience supervising children at the Real Life Day Camp and Farm. She created and directed the very successful pre-school program at St. Linus in Dearborn Heights from 1991 through 2001. She has an MA in Early Childhood Education and a “ZA” endorsement from the state of Michigan as an Early Childhood Specialist.

All of our lead teachers hold a 2 or 4 year degree in child development and/or elementary education. Our assistant teachers have a minimum of one year of experience working with young children. Our staff are chosen for their strong moral character and commitment to children. Background checks are done on all individuals who work at Real Life Nursery School & Kindergarten. Staff also attend periodic training throughout the school year to stay current on early childhood trends and issues.
